Off-topic. But speaking of maternal deaths. A statistic from WHO via Newsweek about a year ago has stuck in my mind because of the horror of it. Sweden was best with one maternal death per 30000 births. Afghanistan was at the bottom of the list with one maternal death per estimated SEVEN births. We have to know that there are many fatherless children in that country. This info makes me think there must be even more motherless ones.
