Legislature wants polar bear study:
The state Legislature is looking to hire a few good polar bear scientists. The conclusions have already been agreed upon — researchers just have to fill in the science part.
That’s how little Johnny Alaska lawmakers think science works, I guess…

They also seem to presume not wanting to spend money now means no money needs to be spent.
Huh?
Not spending money now doesn’t mean you won’t have to spend money later. And a desire to not spend money now doesn’t mean AGW isn’t happening. And spening money isn’t necessarily a loss; ask anyone who invests (spends) in the expectation of future rewards (profits) or a better life.
It sounds like AK lawmakers learned ‘science’ from a shampoo commercial.

Cool! That means I’m getting a raise.
I guessing these legislators got through their science classes in school by getting copies of the Teacher’s Edition of their textbooks and looking up the answers in the back. To them, that’s the scientific method.
