I finally found some time to go and see a movie theater from the inside. My daughter and I went and saw Wall-E tonight.
Like everyone says, it is a beautiful movie.
Get some popcorn and sit back.
Take in the fantastic graphic design.
Play the “spot the cultural reference” game.
Enjoy the sweet love story.
Laugh.
Leave the social analysis for later, if you insist on doing one at all.

It really is a terrific film. The inventiveness, artistry, and empathetic understanding that went into it is really remarkable.
And be sure to stay through the credits.
I agree – enjoy the quick laugh at the surface social commentary, but hold off on going deep on it ’til you can get the dvd and be able to pause and think on it without annoying the other 30-130 people in the theater with you. 🙂
and if you ain’t seen it yet, stick around through the credits (why am i the only one that ever does?). there’s a good laugh even after the final Disney Pictures logo.
