I think the specific action items are good. I disagree with restoring civility (item #1). (Fuck that). Seriously, civility is vastly overrated, particularly when confronted with the mind-numbing stoopid coming from the Republican Party (privatizing the National Weather Service? C’mon…). I’m not saying to be intentionally mean or petty, but political discourse has never been civil, particularly when the issues really matter (Jefferson and Madison supporters said horrible things about each other). In fact, I think one of the reasons we’re in the current mess is that the left (or what passes for it) has been far too civil.
