I say “bah” to your sea cucumber. Look at it. It’s flaccid and purple–a sissy color. The true ultimate phallic symbol is a hard salami, soprasetta d’abuzzio perhaps.
As if my species of study didn’t already make me blush, now you’ve publicly called attention it’s phallic characteristics… Interesting choice of photograph.

I understand the Arabic colloquial name translates as ‘p*nis of the sea’ for certain behavioral reasons. Fresh sea cucumber is a favorite of mine when I visit China.
Sea cucumber guts are also one of the most expensive sushi items you can buy in Japan. It’s actually very tasty, but only available in the most exclusive restaurants. Yum.
