Thanks for the link!
Uffda… Bora, I know you are a community builder and all, and I love you for that, and it is great that you are mostly link-blind when it comes to carnivals (I try to be a little that way myself), but but I want to officially object to the link to Walking Therein, for the Homeschooling carnival.
Walking therein links to and advertises for a number of highly objectionable sites and causes. Convincing young girls that they should feel like they have sinned for certain (rather normal and typical) choices in clothing, telling people that since the bible says so, it really is true that in ancient days a woman had sex wit a bull and gave birth to the minotaur, and so on and so forth… you know, the usual stuff.
In an entirely different area, that site also intermittently plays church music without being asked. Me? I automatically refuse to (when I know I’m doing it) link to sites that make any kind of unsolicited noise regardless of politics or other aspects of the site.
I would not suggest you take the link down (I would never tell anyone else how to blog) and in fact I’m glad you do not discriminate (though I will in my carnival post, because, well, it is my policy to pick and chose in a different way than you happen to. And my right and indeed responsibility. ). But with this comment I hereby critique Walking Therein as the work of the insane and the inane, and I’m calling them out on complicity with child abuse and hatred of their fellow human. And being supportive of crazy fundie nutbags.
By the way, I should mention… the site plays the church music only after a few minutes, so if you go there, you won’t hear it right away. Tricky. Typically tricky. Clearly the work of Satan’s minions.
