    Giuliani’s speech above is very interesting. Specifically what he says about McCain and his experience of torture as a POW. That McCain did not succumb to the torture is held out as a virtue, and an example of his honour.
    The present US Administration maintains that it doesn’t engage the practice of torture against those it is holding prisoner in Gitmo. We all know that’s a lie. It is in this light that Giuliani’s comment is interesting.
    One can imagine Islamists saying the exact same thing Giuliani says, but with respect to their own people.
