This blog is slowly approaching a nice round number – 10,000 comments. I know this is not Pharyngula where this would take an hour or two to fill, but still, we can get the remaining 200+ comments in over the next few days, can’t we?
The person who posts the 10,000th non-spam comment will get a prize – something (your choice exactly what) from the A Blog Around The Clock store.

Consider this my small contribution to the cause! (Unfortunately, I don’t have anything insightful to say.)
so what is 10,000 in binary? does 10,000 really matter?
Glad to help, I think I’ll take the clock. I guess with 200+ to go I guess I’ll just have to keep using the sun.
BTW 10,000 dec … 2710 hex … 10 0111 0001 0000 bin
I’ll help. Are you going to give away prizes to the 10,000th commenter like Seed did for the 500,000th commenter? I want a pony.
I can’t use fancy algorithms like Seed, but I can see the comment counter. I delete spam pretty quickly. I’ll make sure I am not the one posting the 10,000th comment and the winner gets a prize from my cafepress store of his/her choice.
I don’t comment very often, but this is certainly a worthy reason to speak up.
keep up the good work.
really enjoy reading at PLoS, thanx Coturnix
